I am very sorry to inform you about my current situation. I am ethnic Ukrainian and live in Russia, currently my native country is at war. I always considered our nations to be siblings and none of our creative community, including my Russian husband want this war. We are devastated and shocked about all of what is happening, people dying, lives destroyed, people arrested and killed on protests though we only ask for peace. 10 days ago we both lost our jobs. Now we cannot help my friends and family in Ukraine as well because most international transactions are suspended (or at least 95%). PayPal suspended work in Russia and we didn't have time to prepare, they didn't even send us a letter up till now. We are trying to find alternatives and be able to continue working: order essential materials, pay rent for workshop, withdraw pending transactions to ship orders which are ready. Our ONLY income is cosplay production, we own a small store and do our best now to survive somehow.

I would really like to write someting positive but my life has become as endless murky tunnel where I don't see the light at the end. Sanctions have hit us hard but I feel guilty for writing this because I am not in the war zone and it seems to be the only important thing now. We are thinking about moving to a different country but it's rather difficult. Apart from many people disliking Russian people now (I am Ukrainian but lived in Russia for 13 years, my husband is Russian) there are a lot of refugees from both Russia and Ukraine which equals almost no apartments (or artificial rising of prices for flats), many banks don't want to open bank accounts. We also have a workshop here in Moscow, we aren't planning to close it and are still working on urgent orders. However opening a new one in a new place is just something I can't imagine atm. We also have pet rabbits and it's killing me as IDK how to transport them safely. Pets also cut the opportunity to rent a place 1/2. The worst part is that we can't earn money at the moment so when we run out of it...I don't know what will happen.

I hope you will read the post not only write 'wow cute, hot, etc'. I feel rather desperate now and any useful practical advice or donations will really help. I will be making another sales post with our costumes next, it will help greatly if you will be able to share with someone who might be interested, maybe your friends are looking for HQ cosplays.

Every day I am praying for this war to end. It brought so much destruction to all spheres of life that I can't even describe everything which has happened since February 24. People cannot be brought back but Ukraine can be rebuilt and thrive - citizens there are incredible! I want to see my Granny who is in Ukraine now, I want to see my hometown and our beautiful river Dnipro I miss my friends, Kyiv and every memory I have from my Homeland.
